FiberCreme, a brand of PT Lautan Natural Krimerindo, along with some of its partners worked together with Family Welfare Programme (PKK) of East Java to hand out donation to citizens affected by the Covid-19 pandemic and the subsequent large-scale social restrictions enforced by the government. The donation came in the form the form of 1000 packages of daily basic needs such as rice, cooking oil, instant noodle packs, face masks, and FiberCreme. These packages were distributed by Mrs. Arumi Bachsin, the wife of vice governor of East Java as well as the head of the province’s Family Welfare Programme organization, to people in needs that include the disabled and other citizens facing difficulties due to the crisis.
“The ongoing pandemic and the large-scale social restriction policies taking place in Surabaya, Gresik and Sidoarjo surely brought major changes in negative way for the disabled and people employed in the informal sector. The government’s order to stay at and work from home is definitely a challenge for those people who must go outside to make money. In response to the phenomenon, FiberCreme as part of PT Lautan Natural Krimerindo along with our partners take the social responsibility to help those in needs,” said Director of PT Lautan Natural Krimerindo Hendrik Gunawan.
By including face masks in the packages, Mr. Hendrik said that it was PT Lautan Natural Krimerindo’s attempt to raise awareness on the importance of wearing one in public. “We hope this small step can help make people relize that face masks are important to prevent spreading and contracting the virus,” he added.
