September was an eventful month for PT Lautan Natural Krimerindo, filled with significant initiatives aimed at promoting sustainability and health within our organization and the wider community.
Several highlights from the month included the inauguration of our solar panels, which marks a major step toward our commitment to renewable energy. We also conducted our annual health check-up for employees, prioritizing their well-being. Additionally, we had the opportunity to share our expertise in food safety with small and medium enterprise owners, reinforcing our dedication to industry standards.

1. Inauguration of LNK’s Solar Panel Project
LNK has reaffirmed our commitment to sustainable and environmentally friendly business practices. In early September, we inaugurated the installation of 1,416 solar panels with a capacity of 635 kW at our factory in Mojokerto, East Java, as part of our ongoing efforts to support clean energy in Indonesia.
This solar panel installation has a capacity of nearly 30% of our energy needs while reducing CO2 emissions by up to 1,200 tons per year, equivalent to planting more than 14,000 trees. In addition to saving energy, our efforts to increase the use of renewable energy align with East Java’s energy transition and energy mix targets of 17.09% by 2025 and 19.56% by 2050.
2. Annual Medical Check-Up for LNK Employees
At LNK, employee well-being is a top priority. As part of our commitment to ensuring a safe and healthy workplace, we recently conducted our annual medical check-up for all staff. This initiative aims to detect any early signs of illness or potential health issues, allowing employees to take preventive measures and stay fit.
Regular health screenings like these are essential for maintaining a productive and safe working environment. By identifying health concerns early, we can help employees stay at their best, ensuring they are healthy, energized, and ready to perform their roles effectively.
3. Sharing Knowledge of Food Development to Support SDGs
We were invited as a speaker at the National Food Technology Seminar held by Universitas Pembangunan Nasional (UPN) Veteran Surabaya on September 12, 2024. The seminar focused on the theme Utilizing Local Agricultural Commodities to Develop Functional Foods in Support of the SDGs.
At the event, LNK shared insights about FiberCreme as a functional food product made from local commodities, specifically oligosaccharides derived from cassava starch, and its clinically proven health benefits. This aligns with LNK’s commitment to sustainable research and development, supporting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and fostering a more resilient, health-oriented, and sustainable food system that benefits both people and the planet.

4. Food Safety Management Workshop for SME Owners
We recently held a workshop on Food Safety Management for small and medium enterprise (SME) owners in Mojokerto. This initiative was designed to help local business owners by providing them with clear guidelines that align with government requirements for food safety. By understanding and implementing these standards, SME owners can improve their operations, enhance the quality of their products, and ensure compliance with essential safety regulations.
The workshop covered key aspects of food safety management, offering practical insights into how businesses can maintain hygiene standards and meet the expectations of consumers and regulators alike. This initiative not only helps SMEs protect their customers but also allows them to grow sustainably in the competitive food industry.
For us, this workshop is more than just a corporate responsibility; it is our way of giving back to the community that has supported us throughout the years. By sharing our knowledge and expertise, we aim to uplift local businesses and strengthen the food ecosystem in Mojokerto.
5. Blood Donation in Celebration of Indonesian Red Cross Day
In celebration of Indonesian Red Cross Day, we organized a blood donation event, encouraging employees to give back to the community in a meaningful way. This event reflects our commitment to social responsibility and supporting vital causes like blood donation, which plays a critical role in saving lives.
We are proud of the enthusiasm and generosity shown by our team and look forward to continuing to support the Indonesian Red Cross and other community-focused efforts in the future. The event was a great success, with participants collectively donating a total of 71 bags of blood.
6. Joint Birthday Party for September Gang
As usual, we closed off the month with a joint birthday celebration – this time for employees born in September. The event was filled with joy and camaraderie, bringing together colleagues to celebrate their special day with cake, fun activities, and warm wishes.
This monthly tradition is part of our effort to create a positive and supportive work environment. By holding joint birthday celebrations, we aim to strengthen the bond between employees, creating a sense of unity within the company.
