For Industrial Engineering students, understanding how an industry operates goes beyond learning theories and concepts in the classroom. Seeing how those concepts are applied in an actual working environment can provide a different perspective on the relationship between what they learn and what happens in the field.

This opportunity was experienced by students from the Industrial Engineering program at Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) during their visit to PT Lautan Natural Krimerindo (LNK) on September 16, 2026. The visit provided students with a closer look at the working environment of a food ingredient company and how different activities support its day-to-day operations.

Exploring What Happens Behind the Scenes

Stepping into an industrial environment can bring a new perspective to concepts that students encounter in class. During their visit to LNK, the students had the opportunity to observe the operational environment firsthand while exploring how different activities work together within a company.
