HIV/AIDS and Tuberculosis (TB) remain significant public health challenges in Indonesia. The urgency of addressing these issues is also evident at the local level. According to the Mojokerto Regency Public Health Office, as of June 2026, the regency had recorded 1,624 people living with HIV, including 139 children and students who are aware of their HIV status. Health officials have emphasized that the growing number of cases among young people highlights the urgent need for stronger health education, prevention efforts, and community support for the younger generation.

Beyond medical treatment, one of the greatest obstacles to controlling HIV/AIDS and TB is the stigma and misinformation that still exist within society. According to Indonesia’s Ministry of Health, negative perceptions and discrimination often discourage people from seeking early testing, treatment, and support. Increasing public knowledge through education is therefore essential—not only to prevent transmission but also to eliminate misconceptions and foster empathy toward people living with HIV and those affected by Tuberculosis.

With this commitment in mind, PT Lautan Natural Krimerindo (LNK), in collaboration with Mawaddah Medika Hospital, organized an educational outreach program on HIV/AIDS and Tuberculosis (TB) prevention for students of SMK Raden Rahmat on July 29, 2026.

The event opened with welcoming remarks from the Principal of SMK Raden Rahmat, followed by an opening speech from PT Lautan Natural Krimerindo, who emphasized the importance of collaboration between companies, healthcare institutions, and educational organizations in building healthier and more informed communities.

The main session was delivered by Dr. Ratih Ayu Puspita from Mawaddah Medika Hospital, who provided students with a comprehensive understanding of HIV/AIDS and Tuberculosis. The presentation covered the definition of both diseases, common symptoms, methods of transmission, and practical prevention measures. More importantly, the session highlighted the importance of introducing health education at an early age so that students can distinguish facts from myths, understand that both diseases are preventable and manageable, and avoid the negative stigma that often prevents people from seeking timely diagnosis and treatment. By equipping students with accurate, science-based information, the program encouraged them to make informed decisions, adopt healthier lifestyles, and become advocates for health awareness within their families and communities.

The program became even more engaging through an interactive question and answer session and quiz, where participants tested their knowledge in a fun and engaging way while reinforcing the key messages delivered throughout the program.

The initiative was warmly received by both students and educators. M. Rizki Akbar A., one of the students of SMK Raden Rahmat, shared his appreciation, saying:

“Today’s session was very informative. I learned a lot about HIV/AIDS and Tuberculosis. Thank you, LNK, for supporting our school and providing us with this valuable knowledge.”

Mr. Eko Hari Purnomo, a teacher at SMK Raden Rahmat, also expressed his gratitude for the collaboration between LNK and Mawaddah Medika Hospital:
