Learning about the food industry goes beyond classroom theories. Seeing how products are manufactured, understanding how innovation is developed, and experiencing real industry practices firsthand provide students with valuable new perspectives. With this spirit in mind, PT Lautan Natural Krimerindo (LNK) welcomed Biotechnology students from Atma Jaya Yogyakarta University for a Factory Visit on May 28, 2026.
The students kicked off the visit by getting acquainted with LNK, from the company’s history and business flow, to its commitment to driving innovation in the food ingredients industry. They then had the opportunity to tour the production facilities, where they observed how manufacturing processes are carried out while maintaining high standards of quality, food safety, and operational excellence.
This experience became even more engaging through a series of interactive activities. Coffee and matcha enthusiasts enjoyed the opportunity to create their favorite beverages alongside professional baristas using LNK products. Meanwhile, students interested in business operations explored LNK’s production area and one of the tallest warehouses in Southeast Asia. These activities gave participants a closer look at how production, storage, and distribution are managed within a large-scale food manufacturing company.
Throughout the visit, students showed great enthusiasm by actively engaging in discussions with the LNK team. They throw many questions about product development, innovation, and how the company continues to adapt to the evolving needs of the food industry. The interactive session bridged academic knowledge with real-world industrial practices, providing valuable insights beyond the classroom.
One of the lecturers from Atma Jaya Yogyakarta University expressed appreciation for the program and shared hopes for future collaboration between the university and LNK.
